This concise overview introduces creators and their crafts, emphasizing the role of cultural influences in shaping art. Students will develop an appreciation for global artistic traditions and gain insights into the interplay of arts and culture, enhancing their understanding of the creative process and its impact on society.
ART 108 - Introduction to Graphic Design
Intro to Graphic Design orients you to visual communication, with a look at the history of graphic design, and it's role in reflecting and advocating for social change. Students will learn to apply the foundational elements and principles of design, color, and branding through traditional and digital projects. Studio fee.
BIO 105 - Biology for Everyday Life
Introductory biology for non-majors which emphasizes the connections between biology and everyday life. Topics include scientific inquiry, chemistry of life, cells, genetics, evolution, human biology, diversity of living organisms, and ecology. On-line format includes video lectures and on-line discussion groups. Students will conduct thirteen lab activities in their home or dorm.
BUS 101 - Introduction to Business
This course is intended to help first year business management students clarify their business education and career goals. Basic concepts of management, marketing, operations, finance, and human resource management will be surveyed.
BUS 141 - Introduction to Project Management
Introduction to Project Management will present the foundational skills needed to have an immediate impact on projects. Microsoft Project will be used with an emphasis on practical application in the workplace. This course will also provide the skills needed to be an effective member and leader of project teams.
BUS 150 - Introduction to Financial Accounting
Topics include transaction analysis, recording accounting information, and preparation of financial statements. Additional topics include accounting for sales, cost of sales, inventory, and other assets. The emphasis is on communicating financial information to external users. Students use accounting software to establish and maintain an accounting system for a simulated business.

BUS 210 - Organizational Communication
This course explores essential oral communication skills for professional settings. Students will develop proficiencies relevant for leadership, conflict resolution, debate, group interactions, group facilitation, and decision making. Applications will include various forms of message delivery, such as presentations, impromptu speaking activities, and simulations of common professional communication scenarios.
BUS 218 - Materials and Inventory Management
This course explains how to utilize inventory management tools to create value by understanding the value and costs savings available through implementation of warehouse and inventory management systems.
